Well I have been doing the 30 for 30 Fashion Challenge for one week now. Its been fun and quite easy to put together outfits with just the 30 items I chose from my wardrobe. However, I have a feeling this week will be more difficult as I struggle to come up with different ideas.
There are still a few things I haven't worn yet and I am even beginning to wonder why I picked some of the things I did. Apart from yesterday, the weather has been cold and miserable - can you even wear white capris when the weather is like this???
Presumably, if you are Liz Hurley, you can!
The 'No Shopping' part of the challenge has been a little irritating. This morning I went to the local shopping mall and normally I would take a peek in some of the clothing shops there which would be fun but I thought to myself 'what's the point, even if you see something you like, you aren't allowed to buy it!'. Which I guess is saving me money AND avoiding bringing more stuff into the house - the primary reason I started this challenge in the first place.
If this is the first time you have read about my challenge, here is a look at the 30 items I have to wear and here is a quick run down of each outfit I have worn during the week.
My favourite so far is probably Day 2 - Urban Polo Chic (I am loving my new riding boots!!!). Have you got a favourite, I'd love to know...
I am going to ask something strange... But... in Day 2 - are the Dianna Ferrari Whiskey boots in the colour Simmo by chance?
ReplyDeleteAwesome job! I am super impressed with the no shopping!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could layby if you were having huge withdraws- technically you haven't bought it ;)
This is a fun challenge. I have been surprised at how little some of your outfits cost! You ARE a super shopper :-)
ReplyDelete@B B, the boots in Day 2 are "Jackson" by Sandler. They in black, dark brown and tan. They have little elastic buckles on the side to fit around bigger calves like mine :)
ReplyDelete@wait until the sunset very sneaky hehehe. But I am determined to be good - I didn't spend 3 hours tackling my wardrobe to end up with MORE clothes!
ReplyDelete@MultipleMumyeh, Im a cheapskate :) actually its more to do with necessity than frugality (is that even a word?) but it just goes to show that a $12 t-shirt from Target can look just as good as a $50 t-shirt from Country Road or wherever....okay it might not wash as well but in my house white t-shirts have a pretty low lifespan as it is!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! And I love International Woman of Mystery. It's the coat. Popping in from the Weekend Rewind.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea! I love day 5! That would have to be my fave! You should so rock that one more often!! :)
ReplyDeleteI remember this post (and series). Such a fun and creative thing to do for a month. Thanks for Rewinding Eloise x
ReplyDeleteI am SO impressed that you can do this! My mind goes completely blank if I have to think of anything more than a top and jeans- and I used to work in fashion. Kudos to you, I think all of your outfits are great!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from the Rewind.
Man, you have gorgeous style! Very cool. And I must say your blog is one of the most gorgeous I've seen - I love the background images. Nice to meet your blog x
